Dogs Locked in Car, Parks Vandalized: Shoreline Police Blotter

The following blotter items range from June 16, 2013, through June 23, 2013. Information on arrests is supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

Recent hot weather is a reminder not to leave animals locked in cars. On June 18, police responded to a report of dogs locked in a car with the windows rolled up and no water while parked at the Fred Meyer, 18325 Aurora Ave. N. The incident was referred to Animal Control.

June 19:

CAR PROWL SUSPECT: Police responded to a report of someone lying on the ground in a wooded area behind a home in the area of N. 196th Place and Greenwood. The person had several warrants and had stolen property on him. He told police he was car prowling.

BURGLARY: Someone broke into an apartment in the 20100 block of Bagley Drive North and stole unknown items.

VANDALISM: A mirror was smashed in the women’s restroom at the Richmond Highlands Park, 16554 Fremont Ave. N. Burned foil was found in the trashcan.

June 20:

HOME BURGLARY: Someone broke into an occupied home in the 18300 block of Stone Ave. N. by prying off a screen and opening an unlocked rear bathroom window just after 12:30 p.m.

LIQUOR THEFT: Someone stole seven bottles of liquor from the Safeway on 15332 Aurora Ave. N.

DUI CRASH: A suspected DUI accident happened just before 7 p.m. when two vehicles collided on North 175th St. at Midvale Avenue North.

June 21:

PARK VANDALISM:  New graffiti was reported around the tennis court at Shoreview Park, 700 NW Innis Arden Way, and at Boeing Creek Park, 601 NW 175th St.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: Someone broke in the back door and stole several laptops from Laptop Swap, 15235 Aurora Ave. N.

June 22:

PARK VANDALISM: New graffiti in white pen and foam adhesive was reported at Hillwood Park, 19001 3rd Ave. N.W., and black marker graffiti was found on a bench at Boeing Creek Park.
