Arson Reported at Richmond Highlands Park

The following blotter items range from Jan. 21, 2013 through Jan. 24, 2013. Information on arrests is supplied by the Shoreline Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

Fires were set in the men’s and women’s bathrooms at Richmond Highlands Park, 16554 Fremont Ave.  N., on Jan. 24, according to Shoreline Police. The fires were started in a garbage can in the men’s room, and in toilet dispensers and with bits of shoelaces in the women’s room. There was also new graffiti in the women’s room. Here are other selected incidents reported to Shoreline Police.

Jan. 21

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: A computer and monitor were stolen from the McDonald’s restaurant, 14507 Bothell Way N.E., when someone got in through an outside door that was partially open and then shattered an interior door.

MEDICAL MARIJUANA BREAK-IN: Two suspects pried open an air conditioning unit on the roof of Pacific NW Medical, a medical marijuana dispensary, at 19926 Aurora Ave. N. Two suspects were seen fleeing on foot.

VANDALISM: A window was smashed out on a vehicle parked in the 18800 block of Ashworth Ave. N.

APARTMENT BURGLARY: The main building of Shoreline West Condos, 2000 block of N.W. 195th St., was burglarized when someone pried open the main doors and broke into a basement garage unit.

VEHICLE VANDALIZED: A dark blue 2013 Subaru Legacy was keyed and the driver’s rearview mirror was broken off the door while it was parked in a driveway in the 2400 block of N.W. 201st Place.

SMASH AND GRAB: Someone broke out a passenger window and stole a visible purse from a vehicle parked next to a soccer field at Twin Ponds Park, 15300 block of 1st Ave. N.E.

Jan. 22

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: Someone tried to enter a residence through a bedroom window in the 20200 block of 20th Place N.E. The suspect vehicle was a 1990s white Mazda Miata with an aftermarket exhaust on it.

IPOD STOLEN: Someone stole an iPod from a desk at Shorecrest Senior High while the victim wasn’t looking.

Jan. 23

PERSON BITES PERSON: Someone reported being bitten on the arm by another person. The suspect had too many medical conditions to be transported to jail.

MAIL THEFT: A mailbox was pried open and outgoing mail stolen in the 16700 block of 15th Ave. N.W.

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: A person reported seeing someone on a bicycle going into people’s driveways and looking through windows and front doors in the 700 block of N. 201st St.

MAIL THEFT, PART 2: Mail and two vehicle license plates were stolen from a residence in the 800 block of N.E. 151st St.

Jan. 24

PARK VANDALISM: New graffiti was reported at Paramount School Park, 15300 8th Ave. N.E.

BURGLARY: A burglary was reported in the 18500 block of 26th Ave. N.E. The suspect or suspects knocked on the front door, then entered through a rear garage door.

GRAB AND RUN: Two juveniles stole the victim’s wallet while she was checking her mail in the 15300 block of  10th Ave. N.E.

SHORELINE CC CAR PROWLS: Multiple vehicles were broken into at Shoreline Community College by breaking windows.

PARK ARREST: A suspect with a warrant was arrested after hours in Boeing Creek Park, 601 N.W. 175th St., with five cans of spray paint and a tire iron. “Murda Squad” was written on the backpack.
