Bought off from the news

I watch local news most evenings around the 5-7 pm hours and don't see coverage related to Victoria, BC continuing, (now for decades) to discharge untreated sewage into the Strait of Juan deFuca.  Look at a map, Victoria is just west of Mt. Vernon.  Would any American city be comfortable or allowed to discharge their sewer into a shared international water way?  Lately Congressman Derek Kilmer has addressed this disgusting practice and attempted to get BC Premier Cristy Clark to clean up their act.  As has Senator Patty Murray, Senator Maria Cantwell, Governor Inslee, and the other six members of Congress that represent the areas of Puget Sound, all with no effect, probably because where Premiere Clark has her smarmy smiling head located.
The only coverage I see on KOMO are ads to take the Black Ball Ferry to BC.  Is that the formula?: Buy enough ads and keep the TV stations from reporting the disgusting practice of BC?  Really! Both our Senators, seven members of Congress, and our Governor protesting lately, and nothing covered on the "news".   What a bought and sold venue TV journalism has become in our home towns.
And radio station KPLU is complicit too as it supports jazz in Victoria with no mention of the ongoing attempts to get Victoria to stop mindlessly flushing their toilets.
For me and my family and friends, Victoria is an outhouse that stinks, and we are boycotting the city and the province.  If you've read this far I invite you to do the same.  Together we can do great things.  L
