The Kiwanis Club Christmas Tree Sale -- a longstanding Kirkland tradition -- will open on Friday, Nov. 25, at a new location, .
The all-volunteer Kiwanis Club of Kirkland is one of the oldest and largest service organizations in town, and its annual sale of trees, wreaths, nuts and candy is its largest fundraising event. All proceeds -- 100 percent of net sales -- go directly to helping children and families in need, including scholarships, free orthodontic care through the Keller Memorial Fund, by providing school supplies and supporting and the Eastside Victims of Domestic Violence.
In past years, the club’s tree sale was held at a site along Lake Washington Boulevard that is no longer available, so it has moved to the large gravel parking area on the north side of Juanita Beach Park.
It is a convenient location, and by purchasing a tree from the Kiwanis, you will also be giving back to the community during this most joyous of seasons.
