Memorial Day is Monday, May 27; here is a list of what’s open and what government offices are closed.
Shoreline City Hall and Lake Forest Park City Hall are both closed. The Shoreline City Council will meet Tuesday, May 28 at 7 p.m.
The King County Library System, including the Shoreline, Lake Forest Park and Richmond Beach branches are closed.

The Shoreline School District is closed Monday, classes will resume May 28. King County government: Closed.
King County Metro: Metro Transit will operate a Sunday schedule for Memorial Day on Monday, May 27. And, it will be offering special shuttle bus service Saturday through Monday to the Folklife Festival at the Seattle Center from both the Northgate Transit Center and South Renton Park-and-Ride.
King County Transfer Stations: Open.
State of Washington: Closed.
Washington State Ferries: All routes will operate on a normal schedule.
Federal government (including the U.S. Postal Service): Closed
Banks: Many, if not most, will be closed.
Express delivery companies: FedEx and UPS will be open.
Allied Waste in LFP and Cleanscapes in Shoreline: Regular recycling and garbage service in most Western Washington areas on
Costco is closed on Memorial Day.
