Miguel Angel Velasquez Garcia, the Consul General A.H. of Peru in Seattle, cordially invites you to the unveiling of the bust of Peru's national hero, Admiral Miguel Grau Seminario, on Saturday, October 29 at 11:30 am at Animal Acres Park.  The dedication speech will be given by Rear Admiral Jorge Portocarrero, Assistant Defense and Naval Attache to the Embassy of Peru in the United States of America.

In a gesture of international friendship, and in honor of Lake Forest Park's 50th Anniversary, the Peruvian Consulate, which is located in Lake Forest Park, will be presenting a statue of Admiral Miguel Grau Seminario as a gift to the City from the people of Peru.

Admiral Miguel Grau Seminario was a renowned Peruvian naval officer and hero of the Battle of Angamos during the War of the Pacific (1879-1884). He was known as el Caballero de los Mares or "Gentleman of the Seas" for his chivalry in battle.
