Huge Fire Breaks Out at Meadowbrook Apartments

A large fire broke out on the north side of Meadowbrook Apartments on Richmond Beach around 12:05 a.m. Sunday morning, according to bystander reports.

The fire engulfed all floors of the residential complex, and extended into the building. More than 10 fire trucks and rescue vehicles had pulled up to combat the blaze by 12:20 a.m., with more arriving quickly. Witnesses were evacuated to the surrounding area, with many pushed back to the parking lot of a nearby bowling alley.

Other eyewitnesses said that the occupants had all been evacuated, and no injuries were known at the time. At the time of writing, the police were not available for comment.
