Octoberfest Concert celebrating Fall by International Artists Carillon

You are welcome to come to "Octoberfest," a
concert celebrating Fall by International
Artists Carillon
. The performance is at Church of the Redeemer, 6211 NE
182nd Street, Kenmore, Washington, on Saturday, October 19, 2013, at 7:30 pm.
Featuring strings, dulcimer, harps, English hand bells, and flutes, this is
music heard on the weekly television program Crescendo!


There is free admission to this all-ages concert. Donations will
be accepted for the music program at Church of the Redeemer.


The concert features members of the hand bell group in
several different presentation styles. There will be hand bell solo and small
ensemble pieces. Hand bells will accompany strings, including hammered dulcimer
and harp. There will be a harp and hammered dulcimer duo, and a set of flute
trios.

Included in the concert is an arrangement of "Dueling
Banjos" for harp, hammered dulcimer, and hand bells. It features Sharon
Grabner from Church of the Redeemer.

International Artists Carillon and Mark Andersen


Mark Andersen is the director of the International Artists Carillon. He

has played hand bells since 1956. A composer and arranger, Andersen is the

Artist in Residence at Daniels
Recital Hall
and hosts Crescendo!
