Winter Weather Advisory, Flood Watch in Effect

Snow turning to sleet, freezing rain this evening as temperatures start to rise to high 30s early Friday morning

Winter Weather Advisory and Flood Watch is in effect for the Shoreline and Lake Forest Park area tonight according to the most recent National Weather Service forecast.

Meanwhile, the power flickered on and off in Shoreline last night and up to 6,300 customers were without power late last night. Power was restored by 5 a.m. according to Seattle City Light. 

Late Afternoon: Occasional snow, freezing rain, and sleet. High near 29. North wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of less than one inch possible. 

Tonight: Occasional snow, freezing rain, and sleet before 10pm, then rain, possibly mixed with snow, freezing rain, and sleet. Snow level 500 feet. Temperature rising to around 39 by 4am. North wind between 4 and 7 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible. 

Friday: Rain. High near 45. South wind between 7 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Friday Night: Rain. Low around 41. South southeast wind between 11 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.

Saturday: Rain, mainly before 10am. High near 45. South wind between 7 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Saturday Night: Rain. Low around 38. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Sunday: Rain. High near 42. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Sunday Night: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a low around 36.
