What's Open and Closed on Thanksgiving Day

A list of key offices and services affected

Grocery stores are open. The  and Safeways are open regular hours 5 a.m. to 1 a.m.  in Shoreline is open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Shoreline is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. The is open from 5 a.m to 6 p.m. in Lake Forest Park is open from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

is open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thanksgiving Day and 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Black Friday.

The King County Library System, including the Shoreline, Lake Forest Park and Richmond Beach branches are closed.

King County government is Closed.

King County Metro: Metro Transit service will operate on a Sunday schedule. If a route does not normally run on Sunday, there is no service on Thanksgiving. Sunday fares will be in effect on Metro bus routes on Thanksgiving. The Friday after Thanksgiving buses will be on reduced weekday schedules.

All Metro offices will be closed on Thanksgiving, including the Customer Information Center phone lines. For more information about transit service, visit Metro Online atwww.kingcounty.gov/metro.

State liquor stores are closedThe Ballinger Village state liquor store at 20154 Ballinger Way N.E. and the state liquor store at 18336 at Aurora Ave. N.and  state liquor store at 152nd St. and Aurora Ave. N. next to Safeway are open regular hours on Friday.

State of Washington: Closed.

Federal government (including the U.S. Postal Service): Closed. No regular mail delivery on Thanksiving, but there is regular mail delivery Friday and Saturday.

Banks: Closed.

Cleanscapes: No service on Thanksgiving Day. If your garbage and recycling is normally picked up on Thursday it will be picked up on Friday if it's normally picked up on Friday it will be picked up on Saturday.
