What's Open and Closed Christmas Weekend

A short list of holiday changes in Shoreline and Lake Forest Park

Christmas is on the weekend, but many public services will take Monday off in observance. Here's the rundown:

  • Garbage Pickup (both Cleanscapes and Allied Waste): Normal schedule next week.
  • United States Postal Service: The Post Office is closed Monday, Dec. 26. No mail delivery that day.
  • Grocery stores: Most Shoreline grocery stores are closed Christmas Day but open Monday. Call your store to confirm hours.
  • All King County libraries will be closed Saturday, Dec. 24, and Sunday, Dec. 25. They will be open normal hours on Monday, Dec. 26.
  • and will be closed Monday, Dec. 26.
  • will be closed on Christmas and Dec. 26. It will reopen on Tuesday, Dec. 27.
  • Liquor stores: All state liquor stores are closed on Christmas Day. On Monday, Dec. 26, the Ballinger Village store and Gateway store on Aurora Ave. N. in  Shoreline will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., but the Aurora Ave. N. store near JoAnn Fabric will be closed.
