Shorewood Wrestlers Take Down Shorecrest

T-birds' Rikio Campbell wins deciding match over Shorecrest's Josiah Glesener

At the Shorecrest gym, Thursday night, Shorewood defeated the Scots, their crosstown rivals, 37-33.

Building on the momentum of the Shorewood junior varsity's 44-0 victory over the Shorecrest JV the Thunderbirds won the first five matches to create a 23-0 lead.

The Scots rebounded to score 33 straight points, aided by three forfeits by Shorewood.  The back and forth affair was not decided until the last match when Thunderbird sophomore Rikio Campbell scored a technical fall over Josiah Glesener.  Shorewood's four senior wrestlers all secured victories tonight, highlighted by captians David Ball and Alex Lee each defeating a senior captain from Shorecrest.
