Shorecrest Grad Talks to New York Times About Weiner Photo

Cordova thought lewd photo was a fake

Gennette Cordova, a 2007 graduate of Shorecrest High School, gave her first interview since controversy broke over an unsolicited lewd Twitter photo sent to her by U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.).

Cordova, who became a fan of Weiner's political views, starting following the congressman on Twitter (follow her here) and the two texted about policy issues and Republican partisan attacks.

When she received a photo of the congressman in his underwear, Cordova said she was surprised. A conservative Web site, run by Andrew Breitbart, discovered the photo and published it.
