J.P. Patches to be Honored at Seafair on Saturday

A "moment of laughter" will be held to honor the Edmonds resident, who died last week at age 84. No public remembrance set yet.

J.P. Patches will get a "moment of laughter" Saturday during the Seafair Torchlight Spectacular at the Seattle Center.

The Seafair Clowns will be doing the honors at 4:30 p.m. at the Fisher Pavillion lawn stage for J.P., aka Chris Wedes, who died Sunday at age 84.

Meanwhile, a public ceremony to honor Wedes is planned, but no details have been announced yet.
