  • Where/When: 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 3 at Third Place Books.
  • Why Go: Come celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday with Third Place books this Saturday. Bring the kids and hear stories, make crafts, and take your picture with the Cat in the Hat.
  • Cost: Free.

  • Where/When: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 3 at Darnell Park.
  • Why Go: Help remove the blackberries and other invasive plants in this green space off the Interurban Trail. Enjoy the pleasure of improving our park. Please bring gloves if you have them. Meet on the Interurban Trail just south of N. 165th near the bench. Treats provided.
  • Cost: Free. Participants under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants 14-18 must have a permission form signed by a parent or guardian.

 

  • Where/When: 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, March 3 at Third Place Commons.
  • Why Go: Want the inside scoop about what’s happening in the other Washington? Bring your questions to Representative Jim McDermott during this Saturday during this informal, informative gathering.
  • Cost: Free. 

 

  • Where/When: 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 3 at Sky Nursery.
  • Why Go: Join Diana Ambauen-Meade of Scratch & Peck this Saturday as she leads a workshop on everything you need to know about raising chickens in your own back yard. What you’ll need to get started, how to pick a breed suitable for your situation, what to expect of your birds, and what to feed them in different life stages. Bring your questions!
  • Cost: Free.

  • Where/When: 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 3 p.m. on Sunday at in Edmonds.
  • Why Go: The Driftwood Players Alternative Stages is proud to present Stephen Dietz’s newest play, Lonely Planet. The play celebrates the improbable ties that bind us together. Enjoy the show!
  • Cost: Tickets are $12.

 

  • Where/When: 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at .
  • Why Go: The DeMiero Jazz Fest is back at it again with another exciting lineup of stellar jazz performances.  New York Voices, Dee Daniels and Greta Matassa will be the featured performers for both nights, along with Kennelly Keys Music All-Star Band. The Edmonds Community College Soundsation will also perform on Saturday evening.
  • Cost: Tickets range between $25 and $70.
