  • Where/When: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday in Meridian Park Elementary School's parking lot.
  • Why Go: Need to get rid of that Holiday tree in your living room? The City of Shoreline has you covered. Just strip the tree clean of any hooks, ornaments or tinsel  and haul it down to Meridian Park Elementary.
  • Cost: Free.

  • Where/When: The first Saturday and Sunday of each month.
  • Why Go: Bank of America is helping its customers celebrate the new year through Museums on Us, giving bank cardholders free admission to the Northwest African American Museum, the Seattle Art Museum and the Tacoma Art Museum.
  • Pricing: Free. Just show the museum your Bank of America debit/credit card.

 

  • Where/When: 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7 at Third Place Commons.
  • Why Go: Magician Jeff Evans breaks the fun barrier to help celebrate the Grand Opening of the newly remodeled Lake Forest Park Library. See Sparky, the Trained Chicken and watch as a volunteer from the audience has their hand cut off while laughing hysterically!
  • Cost: Free.

 

  • Where/When: 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7 at in Edmonds.
  • Why Go: Visit American Brewing this Saturday and get your live music fix for the weekend. Kyle Stevens a talented musician/songwriter, will be perfoming a great mixture of rock and pop. Enjoy the show!
  • Pricing: No cover.

 

Mancake Breakfast

  • Where/When: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 8 at Elks Lake City Lodge.
  • Why Go: Huge pancakes are the feature item for this fundraiser for childrens' therapy. Bring your friends and family and meet some outstanding community supporters. This event is open to the public. Learn more about Elks' Therapy Program at http://www.waelks.com/therapyprogram.htm
