Thunderbolts and Dunderheads - The Phoenix Theatre

  • Where/When: 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. on Sunday at Phoenix Theater.
  • Why Go: Join the Pheonix Theatre this weekend for the myth-sterically funny, award-winning play, Thunderbolts and Dunderheads comes to town to breathe hilarious new life into the ancient myths.
  • Cost: General admission is $18.50. Seniors, students and military get in for $15.50.

  • Where/When: 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Paramount School Park.
  • Why Go: Does your family enjoy all that Paramount Park has to offer like soccer, the skate park and the Ice Cream Social? Join your neighbors and the Ridgecrest Neighborhood Association for an early spring park cleanup. Volunteers will be picking up trash, weeding the landscaped beds and dressing them with bark. Bring your own garden gloves and tools. Trash bags and bark will be provided, a few small tools will be available to loan as well.
  • Cost: Free.

 

Opera Scenes at SCC

  • Where/When: 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24 at Shoreline Community College.
  • Why Go: Join Shoreline Community College's Opera Worksho for an evening of ennchanting operatic arias and ensembles performed by talented student singers and actors, joined by the Shoreline Chamber Chorale, and accompanied by chamber orchestra and piano.
  • Cost: General Admission: $15, Seniors, Non-SCC Students: $10, SCC Students, Children 14 or under: $8.

 

  • Where/When: 1:30-3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26 at Third Place Commons.
  • Why Go: For their 100th year Anniversary, Girl Scouts of all ages will gather in the Commons to celebrate with song, historical bingo, and crafts.
  • Cost: Free.

 

  • Where/When: 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25 at .
  • Why Go: Cascade Symphony and Music Director Michael Miropolsky present a 50th season of musical masterpieces and virtuoso soloists this Saturday at the ECA. This concert includes musical selections from Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf, with Olympic Ballet Theatre and narration read by Dave Dolacky. In addition, a young prodigy and winner of the Cascade Symphony Rising Star contest, will perform the first movement of Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 3 in G major.
  • Cost: Tickets are $15 general admission, $10 youth age 12 and under.
