  • Where/When: 7-11 p.m. on Fri, Dec. 9 at .
  • Why Go: Don't forget your dancing shoes for this event, you'll need them. Join Shorewood High School and Dance It! for thier 2011 Big Jazz Dance. Group lessions start at 7:30 p.m. followed by live music to dance to by the Einstein Middle School Jazz Band and the Shorewood High School Jazz Band.
  • Cost: Tickets range between $10 and $18.

  • Where/When: 1-2:30 p.m. on Sat, Dec. 10 at the .
  • Why Go: Join Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Patch for a free event celebrating its first anniversary at the Shoreline Library this Saturday. Editor Tony Dondero will lead a demonstration on how to get the most out of Patch, including how to market your events for free on the site, post annoucements, comments and claim business listings. Bring a laptop if you want to follow along.
  • Cost: Admission is free. Refreshments will be provided. Help fight hunger in Shoreline by bringing non-perishable food items for the Hopelink food bank in Shoreline to the event.

 

  • Where/When: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Sun, Dec. 11 at .
  • Why Go: The Third Place Commons Indoor Farmers Market is back and just in time for the holidays. Shop with your favorite farmers upstairs in the Commons, and find unique hand-made holiday gifts at the crafts fair on the lower lever of the Towne Centre. And while you shop, enjoy live music from the Minler Family Fiddlers from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and the Dickens Carolers from 1-2 p.m.

  • Where/When: 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. on Sunday at the .
  • Why Go: Join the Phoenix Theater this weekend for some holiday halarity! Christmas Belles will keep audiences of all ages entertained as an ailing Santa, a vengeful sheep, and a reluctant Elvis impersonator spin this church Christmas pageant wildly out of control. Enjoy the show!
  • Cost: General Admission: $18.50; Seniors/Students/Military: $15.50.

 

 

  • Where/When: 3 p.m. on Sun, Dec. 11 at the First Presbyterian Church in Everett. 
  • Why Go: Join the Pacifica Chamber Orchestra on Sunday as they usher in the holiday season with this Christmas Concert. You'll hear all your favorites, everything from Bach and Scherrer to Mozart. There will also be a few sing-alongs that everyone can join in on!
  • Cost: Admission is free.

 

  • Where/When: 7-10 p.m. on Fri, Dec. 9 at the Seattle Art Museum in downtown Seattle.
  • Why Go: Visit the Seattle Art Museum this Friday night for a special Teen Night Out event. The first performances start at 7 p.m. with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra in the galleries and at 7:30 p.m. with the Garfield Drum Line in the Brotman Forum. At 8:30 p.m. experience a Mak Fai Lion Dancers performance and then at 9 p.m. be sure to check out local hip-hop sensations, the Blue Scholars!
  • Pricing: The event is free to all high-school-aged teens. Attendees much show state or high school ID.
