  • Where/When: 12 - 5 p.m. Fri, Aug 19 at .
  • Why Go: Check out the high flying action going down this Friday at the the Shoreline Teen Program's annual Youth & Teen Skateboard Competition. Participants will enjoy timed runs, a best trick contest and other competition categories for various age groups and abilities. Even if you don't skateboard, come down and check out the action.

  • Where/When: 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sat, Aug 20 at .
  • Why Go: It's a birthday party for the entire City of Shoreline! Come on by the Ridgecrest Elementary School grounds this Saturday and join in on the celebration. You'll enjoy live music food vendors, community booths, a car show and fun for the whole family. The festival kicks off with the Celebrate Shoreline Parade at noon, which will travel south along 15th Avenue NE between NE 180th and NE 165th Streets. Be sure to stop by the Patch booth to say hi and to pick up some free Patch swag.

  • Where/When: 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. Sat, Aug 20 at Marina Beach in Edmonds.
  • Why Go: Spend a memorable evening at Marina Beach this Saturday. During the Moonlight Beach Adventure you'll see and get to touch live creatures brought to shore by volunteer scuba divers. All ages are welcome, just be sure to dress warmly and to bring a flashlight.
  • Cost: Free.

 

  • Where/When: 3 p.m. Sun, Aug 21 at Edmonds City Park.
  • Why Go: Looking for a way to wind down from weekend's chaos without having to spend your Sunday cooped up indoors? The City of Edmonds Arts Commission has you covered. Check out the Concerts in the Park series going on this Sunday at Edmonds City Park. This week's concert will feature Peter Frothingham and his foot tapping, knee slapping, folk rock sound.

  • Where/When: 3 p.m. Sun, Aug 21 at Richmond Beach Saltwater Park.
  • Why Go: Bring your friends and family out to Richmond beach saltwater Park for this summertime tradition.  Try your hand at a unique sand creation or just watch the competition unfold from the sidelines. Need a little inspiration? Check out these awesome creations!
