  • Where/When: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at  in Shoreline.
  • Why Go: If you were planning on working in the garden, or even around the house this weekend, you may want to check out this Plant Sale at Kruckeber going on all weekend. The coolest part about this sale is that it actually takes place inside the garden, so you'll have an idea of what the plants you buy will look like when they mature. Can't ditch the kids to this weekend? Not a problem, just bring them along, there will be several kid activities going on throughout the day.
  • Pricing: Admission is free. Due to limited parking at the Garden, all driving visitors are asked to use the off-site parking locations and shuttle service provided on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. All shuttle riders will receive a coupon to use at the sale. All proceeds support operation of the Garden and its educational opportunities for the community.


  • Where/When: 8:30 a.m. Sat, May 7 at  in Shoreline.
  • Why Go: Celebrate Mother's Day this year by running for a great cause. It's the third annual "Free Them" 5k Run/Walk, an effort by World Concern to combat human trafficking. In addition to your running shoes, you'll want to dress from some ugly weather too. The forecast is calling for  a 70% chance of rain.
  • Pricing: $25 for adults and $10 for minors.

  • Where/When: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Every Sunday at Lake Forest Park Towne Centre.
  • Why Go:  Make it out to the Market for opening day and pick up some fresh locally grown asparagus, onions, carrots, herbs, all your favorite fruits and much more. They'll even have freshly cut flowers just in time for Mother's Day along with other great gift ideas.
  • Pricing: Admission is free.

  • Where/When: 2-4 p.m. on the first Saturday of every month. Meet at the Wallingford Playfield
  • Why Go: If you're looking to do get into an outdoor activity this weekend but don't feel like running a 5k in the rain, it may be time to dust off that bicycle. You're more then welcome to join these bike-riding enthusiasts from Spokespeople for a group ride from Wallingford Playfield to Green Lake and back.   • Price: Free. 

  • Where/When: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at Meridian Park in Seattle.
  • Why Go: Tired of overpaying for organic vegetables at your local market? Well, here's your chance to cut out the middle man, and start growing your own. Just visit the Seattle Tilth Edible Plant Sale this weekend and pick up everything you'll need to start growing all your organic favorites. Even if you're completely lost when it comes to gardening, just visit the on-site Garden Educators and they'll get you pointed in the right direction. Not sure what to expect from this Plant Sale?   • Price: Admission is free, all proceeds go to support Seattle Tilth's educational programs.
