Dad’s Big Day

Father's Day ideas for every dad

We all know that one day a year isn’t enough to show Dad how much we care, but why not make this Father’s Day special by planning a day out for just you two?

Reminisce about all the times he said your skirt was too short or wouldn’t let you take the car, then say thanks for all the things he did do and the lessons he taught—even when he didn’t realize it! We’ve compiled a list of great weekend activities perfect for Father’s Day, just in case you needed a little help!

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!

Edmonds Arts Festival: It’s a yearly tradition for the denizens of Edmonds.  runs all weekend and features the best of art, food and live entertainment. Make a day of it and grab lunch, enjoy some live music, and peruse the art. Take note of anything Dad admires, then pick it up for a surprise gift.

Scott’s Bar and Grill: Always packed on holidays, recommends a reservation, otherwise the wait will be lengthy. Choose from traditional brunch favorites such as crab cake benedict and vanilla custard french toast, or opt for heartier selections like salmon with poblano corn salsa and almond crusted sea scallops.

Washington Brewers Festival: It’s not being held in Shoreline, but this festival is sure to make for a memorable Father’s Day. Two local favorites,  and  will be among the 60+ brewers present at the event. Take in some live music, grab a plate of festival food and take Dad to explore the more than 200 beers on tap.

Arista Wine Cellars: If your dad favors vino, bring him to  , where there will be a wine tasting from 1-4:30 p.m. Winemaker Tim Narby of Nota Bene Cellars will be on hand to answer questions and pour tastes from Ciel du Cheval and Conner Lee vineyard.

Nile Golf Club: Hit the links at the local Nile Golf Club, or just give your old man a gift certificate for another (probably less crowded) day. Visit their website for a printable coupon offering two rounds of golf and a power cart for $75. After the 18th hole, head to the #19 Bar & Grill for some hearty post-game grub.
