All Power Restored to Shoreline City Light Customers, After Damaged Cable Replaced

The outage started about noon when an underground cable failed. The outage initially affected about 2,800 homes and businesses.

Seattle City Light crews restored power about 6 p.m. today to all customers affected by a power outage in Shoreline, mostly in Richmond Beach.

The outage started about noon when an underground cable failed. The outage initially affected about 2,800 homes and businesses.

Crews isolated the damage to restore service for about 2,600 customers by 2 p.m. Full restoration was achieved after crews replaced the damaged cable.

The boundaries of the initial outage were NW 205th Street on the north; Meridian Avenue N on the east; Puget Sound on the west; and N 159th Street on the south. Not all customers within those boundaries were affected.
