SCC Softball Moves Into Tie For Final NWAACC Playoff Spot

SCC Softball Moves Into Tie For Final NWAACC Playoff Spot:

The Shoreline Community College Softball Team moved into a tie with Everett Community College on Tuesday for the last NWAACC Softball Championship spot in the NWAACC Northern Region. SCC swept Skagit Valley College on Tuesday, 8-0 and 10-7, while EVCC was swept by Douglas College. Both teams have 9-11 records in the NWAACC Northern Region. SCC overall record is 15-21 and EVCC is 20-18. Everett swept SCC two weeks ago in two close games at Everett, 3-1 and 4-3.

SCC Softball and Everett CC meet on Friday at Shoreview Park at 1:00pm in a crucial Northern Region doubleheader. SCC will be looking for a sweep, as both teams play other NWAACC Northern Region teams on Saturday on the final day of the regular season, but SCC plays league leading Bellevue College with a 33-5 overall record and 21-1 record in the league, while Everett plays Skagit Valley College who is 5-30 and 3-17.

If both teams are tied for the final playoff spot, there would be a play-in game early next week to determine who goes to the NWAACC Championship.
