SCC Names Alia Kelly and Alexis Salcedo As Co-Softball Players of the Week

SCC Names Alia Kelly and Alexis Salcedo As Co-Softball Players of the Week:

Shoreline Community College on Sunday named sophomore Alia Kelly and freshman Alexis Salcedo as Co-Softball Players of the Week.

Salcedo, a outfielder from Zilah High School in Zilah, WA, was 8 for 13 on the week for a .615 batting average with 2 runs scored, 2 RBIs, a double and a homerun.

Kelly, a pitcher/1st baseman from Lake Stevens High School, was 5 for 13 for a ..385 average with 4 runs scored, 6 RBIs, 2 homeruns and a double, plus she had a pitching victory against Edmonds CC.

The Lady Dolphin Softball Team won 3 of 4 games for the week, splitting a doubleheader with Olympic College while sweeping Edmonds CC. SCC got back in the playoff hunt, trailing Everett CC for the last playoff spot in the NWAACC Northern Region by 2 games with 6 games to go.

SCC hosts Skagit Valley College on Tuesday at 1:00pm, then plays a huge doubleheader against Everett CC on Friday at 1:00pm at Shoreview Park. The Dolphins finish the season at Bellevue on Saturday
