SCC Men's Tennis Team Gets First Win of Season, Women Remain Winless

SCC Men's Tennis Team Gets First Win of Season, Women Remain Winless:

The Shoreline Community College Men's Tennis Team defeated Skagit Valley College on Tuesday at Shoreview Park 6-3. SCC did benefit from two SVC forfeits at #6 Singles and #3 Doubles, but SCC did claim victories at #3, 4, 5 singles and #2 doubles. SCC #1 men's player Yassar Khan lost a 2 hour and 40 minute marathon against defending NWAACC Champion Riley Newman, 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-1). Dylan Vickers, Richard Rosavoc and Max Larson won their single matches and Vickers and Larson won their doubles match.

The SCC women, with only four players were defeated by the SVC women 9-0, SVC got forfeits at #5 & 6 singles and #3 doubles. SCC's Sami Towne lost a tough set 7-5 to Skagit's #1 player, but dropped the 2nd set 6-1. 

SCC takes a long road trip this weekend, traveling to Spokane to face the CCs of Spokane, then traveling to Ontraio, OR to face Treasure Valley CC and the College of Idaho.
