UPDATE: Owners of LFP's Great Harvest Bread Co. Retiring, But Not Going Anywhere

Jeff and Maggie Weissman are turning the keys over to new owners so they can spend more time with their grandchildren and more time on the slopes and on their bikes.

UPDATE, March 28, 2 p.m.: Jeff Weissman, working his last week as operator of Great Harvest Bread Co. in Lake Forest Park, called Patch to say he is retiring, but isn’t going anywhere.

“I intend to be fully active in the Lake Forest Park Rotary. I am on the (city) Community Service Commission and would like to serve my term out," he said. "I just really like building community and being involved with people. I don’t intend to stop doing that because I just love it so.”

He also believes he is leaving Great Harvest in good hands. “If people give him a chance, he’ll do well,” Weissman said of new owner Zach Bass.
