Bites Nearby - Jersey's Great Food and Spirits

Where eating is sport

Don't let the team logos and memorabilia or the 10 flat screen televisions make you think that Jersey's in Shoreline is just another sports bar. In addition to the ever present sports action, here eating is taken to sport status.

With a full complement of wings and sliders plus a range of burgers including a classic 1/3 pound diva ($8.95) to a eating competition worthy "The Farm" - 1/3 pounds of beef; 1/2 pound each of turkey, hot Pastrami and melted cheese; 1/4 pound bacon; 2 eggs; then grilled and fried onions all between the bun ($19.95) - you know this place is serious about food.

With all the pub favorites on the menu, Jersey's also serves the neighborhood as a good spot to grab a beer and watch the game on the bar side of the restaurant, as comfortable as if you were in your own "man cave."

However, Jersey's also offers a family friendly dining room, complete with a kids' menu, a weekday express lunch ($6.95) menu and a special team of signature dishes that are fresh and flavorful.

Two of the standouts are the Roasted Pork Chops ($14.95) where two petite chops meet a rich apple gravy before being set atop garlic mashed potatoes; and the winner winner Teriyaki Glazed Chicken Dinner ($11.95).

For a lighter meal take a good look at that Szechwan Chicken Salad ($8.95).
