BECU Celebrates Grand Opening of Shoreline Neighborhood Financial Center Tues.

Shoreline Public Schools Foundation to be awarded $500 in support of their efforts

On Tuesday, February 28, at 11:30 a.m., BECU will celebrate the grand opening of a new Neighborhood Financial Center (NFC) at 18336 Aurora Ave., Suite 109 Shoreline.  The new location is located at Gateway Plaza near Starbucks.

Representatives from the Shoreline Chamber of Commerce will be on hand for a ribbon cutting ceremony, which will be followed by Erin Vautier, manager of BECU’s Shoreline location, presenting a check in the amount of $500 to Shoreline Public Schools Foundation in support of their efforts to ensure that the basic educational needs of the students in the community are met.

The new 2,000 square foot location has five consultant desks, two ATMs with 24 hour access, and two online banking kiosks to better serve members.  In addition, members can make an appointment with an investment advisor to review their current retirement accounts as well as discuss long term goals. Members can use the location to establish accounts, apply for loans and perform financial transactions -- including free ATM, online and telephone banking services, with staff assistance, if needed.

“Our move to the new location was in response to the growing needs of our members in the area.  With approximately 30,000 members in the area, our previous location inside of the nearby Safeway grocery store and did not afford us the room to meet the needs of our membership.” said Erin Vautier, BECU’s manager of the Shoreline location.  "Historically, BECU was open only to Boeing employees and their families.  Now anyone in the state is eligible to join, and this new location will allow us to continue to grow within the Shoreline community.”

As with BECU’s other Neighborhood Financial Centers, the new Shoreline location will be staffed M-F 9am-6pm and Sat. 9am-1pm.
