New Sculpture Unveiled at Richmond Beach Library

Installation, funded by the Friends of the Richmond Beach Library, is by well-regarded artist Troy Pillow.

The Friends of the Richmond Beach Library have unveiled a newly installed piece of artwork at the . It was funded by the group.

The installation, by Seattle-based Troy Pillow, is titled Tailwind. On his website, Pillow writes that “I am interested in the connection that sculpture makes between people and the environments in which we live.”

The sculpture commemorates the library’s 10th anniversary in this location. The library was originally built in 1912.

Everyone is invited to the library’s annual art show May 13 from 6-9 p.m. and May 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Richmond Beach Library is at 19601 21st Ave. NW.
