Lake Forest Park Rapper to Perform Farewell Show

Rapper, Sol, will play a farewell show June 16.

Lake Forest Park native, Sol Moravia-Rosenberg, who goes by the stage name Sol, will be playing a farewell show at the Showbox at the Market, Saturday, June 16.

This will be the University of Washington graduate's final performance in Seattle, before leaving the United States to travel the world on a $20,000 Bonderman Travel Fellowship, an award that undergraduates in the Honors Program are eligible for.

Well-known in the Seattle music scene, the Kellogg Middle School alumni has made appearances at Seattle’s popular musical festivals, the Capitol Hill Block Party and Bumbershoot. The 23-year-old rapper has performed with the likes of the Wu-Tang Clan, Mike Posner, and Seattle artists Macklemore and the Blue Scholars.

Sol's independent January 2012 release of his album, Yours Truly, yielded a no. 1 spot on iTunes US Hip-Hop Chart, as well as a coveted spot on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart.

Tickets for the all-ages farewell show, which is anticipated to sell out, are on sale now for $15.
