Got Art? Shoreline Puts Out Call for Artist and Public Art

The city of Shoreline is seeking temporary outdoors sculptures and an artist to create a wall mural.

Got art? The city of Shoreline has put out a call for temporary outdoors sculpture installations to enliven public spaces, for loaned outdoors sculptures and for artists to create an Echo Lake Neighborhood Mural.

One fo the calls is for the debut of From the Ground Up, which according to the city is “a temporary Outdoor Sculpture Installation Project focusing on short-term environmental, and possibly interactive, artwork to enliven public spaces. Artwork must use natural and/or re-cycled materials.”

Another is for the 2nd annual Sculpture Stroll, a loaned outdoor sculpture program.

The third is for a mural to replace existing artwork on a large wall at NE 205th St and 1st Avenue NE adjacent to Holyrood Cemetery.

The deadlines for all three calls are in early April. See details on the city website here.
