Swirl Frozen Yogurt Making Its Mark In Lake Forest Park

Chiropractor and partner recently opened a yogurt shop in LFP on March 22nd. The grand opening is on June 9th featuring free frozen yogurt

Daryll Marshall-Inman, an Edmonds resident and chiropractor by trade, wanted to be part of the frozen yogurt craze so started SWIRL, a yogurt shop in Lake Forest Park Towne Centre on March 22 of this year.

The store is open seven days a week and Marshall-Inman has 10 employees.. Hours are Sunday through Thursday 10 a.m.-10 p.m.  On Friday and Saturdays, SWIRL is open until 11pm.  SWIRL is not part of a chain.

Marshall-Inman is not new to business having owned seven chiropractic clinics at one time.  Now he is down to ownership of one clinic in Normandy Park.  He opened SWIRL in LFP because he wanted to have a business close to home.  SWIRL represents a healthy option, Marshall-Inman said, a family friendly place for people to socialize and a venue bring community together. It cost roughly $300,000 to open up SWIRL. His girlfriend, Rosa Valle, is co-owner of SWIRL.

"We really love the community here," Marshall-Inman said.

At SWIRL there are a total of 10 flavors fans can choose from, still chocolate and vanilla are the most popular.  Original tart and sorbet are favorites also.

"We change flavors every week or every other week," Marshall-Inman said.

There is no sugar added to some of SWIRL's medley of flavors.  Plus, you can adorn your yogurt with delicious fresh fruit, nuts and or other toppings.

SWIRL is a great place for young teens to hang out after school, moms to stop by and take a break with their young children in the afternoon, and others who simply want to have a good place to sit and talk, Marshall-Inman said.

SWIRL donates yogurt coupons to five local schools, including Brookside Elementary in Lake Forest Park and King's Elementary in Shoreline.  When students do good deeds, they get a coupon for a free yogurt.  SWIRL promotes healthy lifestyles, the yogurt helps with improving the immune system and is a good place for the community to come together.

Please join SWIRL in celebrating their grand opening, Saturday, June 9th. Your attendance rewards with you a free five ounce yogurt from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.
