Donations can be dropped off at Cafe Aroma on NE 165th through Monday.

Want to help?

A food drive by the Ridgecrest Neighborhood Association continues through Monday, Dec. 31.

It benefits Hope Link, which serves homeless and low income families, children, seniors and people with disabilities. It has a branch on Westminster Way North in Shoreline.

You can drop off your donations of nonperishable food at Cafe Aroma, 509 NE 165th St., Shoreline. It's open from 5:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the number is 206-440-0690.

Last year, the association delivered more than 650 pounds of food. The goal this year is 700 pounds.

A big thanks to Patch for picking this up this news item from the Ridgecrest Neighborhood Facebook page. The intent of the Ridgecrest Neighborhood Food Drive for HopeLink, is not only to help stock the shelves during the holidays for those who receive assistance from HopeLink - our local Food Bank, but to also create an awareness that helps to keep food available throughout the year for those who need a helping hand. Here is hoping that all the readers of Patch have a wonderful 2013. And our heartfelt thanks from the Ridgecrest Neighborhood Association and HopeLink.
