From pound puppies to purebreds, Patch spotlights dogs who enjoy what Shoreline/Lake Forest Park has to offer. For some dogs, like this week’s pets are Whitie and Tiger, they need a loving and safe home.
These two fantastic dogs were fortunate to be rescued from an overcrowded shelter a few months ago. Like so many animals, these boys were originally surrendered due to “moving.”
Finding comfort and strength in each other, they patiently kept an eye on the door, wondering if their person would come back, or if someone new would discover them. They were passed over for adoption too many times.

When a call to rescue the duo was sounded, they found themselves at Homeward Pet excited to find that forever home that has eluded them for so long.
They have been at Homeward Pet since late January. While they love the ample attention they receive from caring volunteers, they really want a real home.

Whitie and Tiger are both well behaved and easy to care for. They walk well on leash and have even-tempered personalities. They enjoy daily walks and regular romps together. Both howl with delight around youngsters and wag their tails fiercely when they’re pleased. Both dogs are very well mannered and eager to impress. They are friendly with other dogs and can likely be compatible with cats with the right introduction. Respectful kids over the age of six years old would be a good match for this pair.
Whitie and Tiger are the definition of a bonded pair, having spent their whole lives in each other’s company. They’re best friends who have relied on each other through times thick and thin. They must find a future home together.
These boys weigh 74 and 85 pounds respectively. Finding that special person who would like to accommodate two larger dogs hasn’t been easy, but all they need is a chance.
Their previous owner only kept them in the backyard, so they can’t wait for their opportunity to be part of the family.
Whitie and Tiger are four years young and have a lifetime of love to offer a lucky family. Devotion and companionship will be the reward for that compassionate person willing to give these two amazing dogs a happy home.
