North Helpline Short on Protein
Mail carrier food drive down 23 percent, clients up 30 percent
The North Helpline Food Bank in Lake City which serves surrounding areas including Shoreline and Lake Forest Park is facing a protein shortage.
A major source of the food bank's food supply, the mail carrier food drive, collected 23 percent less food than last year.
However, the need is up 30 percent over last year.

The food bank is very low on sources of protein and could use donations of canned tuna, chicken, corned beef, chili and peanut butter.
