Memorial Day: What's Closed, What's Open

The national holiday will close many places in Lake Forest Park and Shoreline. Here's a list of important ones to remember.

Monday is Memorial Day, and most government offices will be closed. Here's a short list of what's open and what's not.

If you're planning to travel, check out the Washington State Department of Transportationweb pages to plan your route. You can expect heavy traffic on Friday and Monday particularly along I-90 Snoqualmie Pass, US 2 Stevens Pass, Interstate 5 near the U.S./Canadian border and I-5 between Olympia and Tacoma.

Metro buses: Buses will run on their Sunday schedule. So if the bus route doesn’t run on Sundays, it will not run on Memorial Day. And all Metro offices will be closed, including customer information phone lines.
