Community Corner
Join Our Race to 1,000 Facebook ‘Likes’
Let's show our neighbors in, Edmonds, Kirkland, Redmond and Woodinville who's the most plugged in community in the North End.
Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Patch is on a mission: Get more than 1,000 "Likes" on our Facebook page. Reaching 1,000 has become sort of a milestone among the 850-some Patch sites across the country -- and most of them launched well before Shoreline-Lake Forest Park. So we're playing catch-up.
But we think it's important, because over the 18 months since our launch, it has become apparent that our community information site is a multi-layer platform. Many people reach our stories not through the home page at all, but rather through web searches and, increasingly, the social media such as Twitter and Facebook.
We know Kirkland is as tech-savvy and plugged into local news as anywhere else around -- and we've been challenged by our pushy sister sites in Redmond and Woodinville!
