Hospice Volunteers Urgently Needed

"I always feel like I get way more than I give" - this is a common response from our hospice and palliative care volunteers.

EvergreenHealth Hospice and Palliative Care serves patients throughout King and Snohomish Counties.  We serve a large area but volunteers choose assignments in their own communities.  Volunteers are integral members of the hospice team and receive support and ongoing education.

Volunteers complete a comprehensive training so they feel confident serving dying patients and their families.  Volunteers offer support by running errands, playing games, listening to the person's life story, singing, listening to music, or watching TV with a lonely person.  Volunteers are also able to stay with the patient so the caregiver can get a much-needed break.

If you would like to join our dynamic team of compassionate volunteers please complete the application on the EvergreenHealth website:
