How do we do our inner "Spring Cleaning"?

People like to hold onto “stuff” year after year. We save and load up on many
things we don’t know where to place or what to do with anymore. But that old
saying of getting rid of the old to make way for the new contains words of
wisdom.

For good mental and physical health, we actually have two “houses” that need to be spring-cleaned: our homes and our physical bodies.

We may accumulate items such as clothes that don't fit us anymore, magazines, rusty bicycles, tools and random keepsakes. Yet we also accumulate old food residues and toxins that need to be cleaned out of our refrigerators.

Cleansing our physical bodies enables better digestion and immune function, and also helps to sharpen your concentration and promote spiritual awareness. So while you’re cleaning out your body and home, don’t forget to spring-clean your heart. Throw away negative thoughts and habits you’ve been harboring that no longer serve you.
