Story Time, Computer Class, Jazz Walk: Today in Shoreline-Lake Forest Park

Here's a peek at events around Shoreline and Lake Forest Park for Tuesday, Aug. 13.

Your local King County Library branch has plenty going on for Tuesday, Aug. 13. Here’s a sampling:

•Young Toddler Story Time, Shoreline Library, 10:05 a.m.-10:35 a.m. Ages 12 to 24 months with adult. Enjoy bouncy rhymes, familiar songs, fun stories and lots of movement with your little one!

•Preschool Story Time, Shoreline Library, 11 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Ages 3 to 6, younger children welcome with adult. Enjoy stories, rhymes, music and movement with other preschool pals. This is a great way to get your child ready to read!

• Computer Class: One-on-One Computer Assistance, Shoreline Library, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Do you need extra help on the computer? Have a special project you're working on? Want to create an email account? A KCLS volunteer instructor can give you one-on-one assistance. Please call 206.362.7550 to make an appointment. Drop-ins are ok if there is free time. The instructor will assist you on a KCLS computer, but cannot provide assistance with your own personal computer.

• Talk Time, Richmond Beach Library, 4-6 p.m. Improve your speaking and listening skills in this English conversation group.

• Free ESL Classes, Richmond Beach Library, 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Learning English? Come to our free classes on Tuesdays. Learn and practice daily English language skills including reading, writing, speaking and listening. Please register at the library or call 206.546.3522.
