Shorecrest Beats Crosstown Rival Shorewood, 3-1, in Girls Soccer

Shorecrest takes early 2-0 lead and holds on for the victory

The Shorecrest Scots got the best of crosstown rival Shorewood, 3-1, in an early season girls soccer matchup, Tuesday night, at Shoreline Stadium.

Shorecrest got on the board first with a direct free kick from just outside the corner of the 18-yard line  around the 20 minute mark.  Shorecrest scored again about five minutes later on a rebound from a corner kick.  

Shorewood hit the net at 35 minutes with a long pass up the middle by Olivia Hollenbeck that that was finished by Zoe Vincini.  Shorecrest finished the scoring around the 55th minute with a one touch shot outside the 18 following a poor defensive clear.

Goalies were Frida Swensen for Shorecrest and Ashley Swan for Shorewood.
