Local Boston Marathoners to Talk at Richmond Beach Running Club Event

Two local residents who were in Boston for the Marathon plan to speak at the local running club's weekly gathering Saturday about what they experienced.

The Richmond Beach Running Club said two local runners who were at the Boston Marathon plan to help the group support marathon runners this weekend with a discussion about their experiences of the tragic events at the finish of the race on Monday, April 15.

The club serves runners in Shoreline, Edmonds, and the North End of Seattle, and meets weekly on Saturday for an 8 a.m. run, meeting this week at the Richmond Beach Coffee House. The run will be followed by coffee/brunch to allow a discussion with the two runners, provided they've made it back to town, club member Scott Ruhlman told Patch.

As of early Friday morning, law enforcement in the Boston area were on a massive manhunt for the bombing suspects that, by the most recent reports, left one MIT Police Officer and one of the suspects dead, and a transit employee in critical condition.
