LFP Police Blotter, July 11 - July 17

The following blotter items and information on arrests were selected from the Lake Forest Park Police Department. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

July 11

DISTURBING THE PEACE:  At the 19000 block of Forest Park Dr. NE in one of the condos a dog was left out on the balcony.  The dog is a Pit-bull mix and has been barking on and off all day and for 2 hours the previous night.

TRESPASSING: A woman at the 3700 block of NE 153rd ST suspects there might be homeless living on her property. She has not seen any homeless but had heard from a neighbor who told her he saw a small encampment of homeless living down in a ravine on her property. Police searched the area and came to the conclusion that it was highly unlikely that anyone was living or camping on her property. She was told to call of she sees anyone on her property or contact the person who actually saw subjects so they could be contacted directly.

July 12

VEHICLE FIRE: A motor home was on fire near a house at NE 153rd ST and Bothell Way.  There is no indication as to how the fire started. When fire department arrived the vehicle was smoking but the fire was out. A county fire investigator was called to the scene.

HEALTH CRISIS: At the 5400 block of NE 200th PL a young man was found screaming incoherently. He was restrained by police and later transported to NW hospital for an evaluation. A friend indicated they had smoked “blueberry” earlier.

July 13

POSSIBLE THEFT: At the 1800 block of Forest Park Dr NE a woman suspects that mail was stolen near her mailbox. After discussing the situation with authorities she decided to hold off making a theft report until she spoke with her husband and determined if other mail or items were also missing. The officer advised her that he was working the next day and would come by and take the report if she decided to make a formal theft report.

DOG ISSUES: At the 17000 block of 32nd AVE NE a man claimed that his neighbor’s dogs came into his yard and cornered his daughter. His daughter was not injured and the neighbors denied there dogs were ever off their property. The man claimed that this was the second time this summer the dogs were aggressive towards his daughter. Officer advised the man to call 911 if there was another incident. He also advised both parties that the matter would be forwarded to Animal Control for action and review.

TRESSPASSING: At the 1700 block of Brookside BLVD NE a subject observed two males riding their bikes through the lower mall parking lot and through the mall. They were warned for bicycle violations, transported to the station, processed, cited and released.

July 14

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: Near the 17000 block of Bothell Way NE a subject said that he just scared a male and a female away from his vehicle. The female was looking inside his truck. The male drove off and the female went running up ally in the opposite direction of the male. There was no damage to the vehicle.

VEHICLE BREAK IN: At the 15000 block of 34th AVE NE a vehicle was found with the windows busted out. There was a large boulder type rock resting on the hood and windshield. There was no signs that the vehicle was stolen but belonged to Enterprise in Bothell. The officer provided the location of the jeep and contacted a two truck.

July 15

JUVENILE INCIDENT: Three boys were found playing baseball on the court at the 18000 block of 37th Ave NE at 11pm.  Officers warned them it was too late to be playing at the court. They left without incident.

HARASSMENT: At the 1600 block of 39th PL NE a woman received a disturbing letter and other items in the mail. The letter made sexual references and was signed ‘lil baby Jesus’. The officer took items into property/evidence and advised subject to call if anyone suspicious was seen in neighborhood.  

ILLEGAL DRUGS: An employee near the 17000 block of Bothell Way was found smoking marijuana. When officer arrived the subject was no longer in the area.

July 16

THEFT: Near the 2800 block of NE 195th ST a subject reported his garage door opener stolen. He leaves it out for a handyman. When he went to close the garage he could not find the opener. No one suspicious was seen in the area. The subject got another garage door opener and reprogrammed it so that his residence would be secure.

LOST COMPUTER: At Big Time Pizza on Bothell Way an employee said that she was in the commons area working on her computer. She left it on one of the tables and went back to work.  When she returned the computer was missing. A witness said he saw a man put the computer in a bag and leave in a van. Later that day a non-identified person called the subject saying she found her computer. The police and the subject agreed not to make a police report.  

July 17

STOLEN PROPERTY: At the 3300 block of NE 185th ST a guitar amp was taken. An Officer contacted victim at his residence, obtained information for a report, provided him with a case number, and business card.

THEFT: Near the 3300 block of NE 185th ST approximately $250 worth of property was taken from an unlocked truck.

HEALTH CRISIS: Near Avid Angler at the 1700 block of Bothell Way NE a man was seen staggering around and was unable to hold a conversation. The caller was worried the subject was going to try to drive home.
